Refund Policy

Withdrawal Before Programme Start Date:

If a student withdraws from the summer school programme before the start date without a valid reason that is deemed acceptable to the School, no refund will be made. In exceptional circumstances such as medical emergencies or unforeseen events, refund requests will be considered on a case-by-case basis.


Withdrawal After Programme Commencement:

If a student withdraws from the Summer School Programme after it has commenced, no refund will be provided for tuition fees.


Early Departure or Absence:

No refunds will be given for early departure from the programme or for any days missed due to absence.


Refund Process:

All refund requests must be made in writing to the summer school administration. Refunds, if applicable, will be processed within 45 working days from the date of receipt of the written request.


Administrative Fees:

Any administrative fees incurred in processing refunds, such as bank charges, will be deducted from the refund amount.

[4] Declaration of Indemnity

1. As the parent/legal guardian of the student, I consent to my child (the Student) participating in the King Henry VIII College Summer School Programme 2025 (the Summer School), subject to the terms and conditions of this Indemnity Declaration.

2. In consideration of the School's permission for the Student's participation in the Summer School, I acknowledge that King Henry VIII College, Brecon Synergy Sdn Bhd (Company No. 1161345-M), and their officers and employees (collectively referred to as "the School") have taken reasonable measures to ensure participant safety. However, I understand that accidents and unforeseen events may still occur. Therefore, on behalf of myself, the Student, my successors, personal representatives, and assigns, I agree as follows:

2.1. In the event of an accident or unforeseen event, despite the School having taken reasonable measures to ensure the Student's safety, I release, discharge, and exonerate the School from any and all responsibilities, actions, claims, demands, and obligations arising from any loss or damage (including, but not limited to, physical injury, loss of life, or property damage) caused by or sustained as a result of the Student's participation in the Summer School, to the fullest extent permitted by law.


2.2. The Student shall comply with all rules, regulations, and instructions provided by the School during the Summer School. I understand that non-compliance may result in the Student's immediate dismissal from the Summer School.

2.3. In the event of an accident or injury, I grant the School the authority to transport the Student to any necessary medical facility if I cannot be contacted within a reasonable time. If medical treatment is deemed necessary, I authorise the School to consent on my behalf for the recommended treatment as advised by a physician and/or medical facility.

[5] Terms and Conditions for use of Personal Data for Publicity, Promotional and Marketing Purposes

King Henry VIII College (“ the School ”) will only use your child’s/ward’s personal data (which includes your child’s/ward’s name, age, academic qualifications, photograph, still and video images, voice recordings, quotations, etc.) for our publicity, promotional and marketing activities with your consent. Your child’s/ward’s personal data may be used to produce publicity, promotional and marketing materials including, but not limited to:

1. Press releases; 

2. Print/Video/Voice advertisements; 

3. Programme brochures/pamphlets/leaflets; 

4. Banners and bunting; 

5. Website; and 

6. Short video;

(collectively, “ Marketing Materials ”), which will be distributed to, among others, prospective students, our partner universities and the general public locally or internationally.

By consenting to our use of your child’s/ward’s personal data for the purposes described above, you acknowledge that: 

1. The Marketing Materials will become the property of KH8 and will not be returned; 

2. We may edit, alter or copy your child’s/ward’s personal data to make the same suitable for use as Marketing  Materials and publish and distribute such Marketing Materials; 

3. We will ensure that except for stylistic changes, the integrity of your child’s/ward’s personal data will be preserved; 

4. We may produce the Marketing Materials without requiring any further consent from you; and 

5. Your consent will also waive any right to royalties or other compensation arising or related to the use of your child’s/ward’s personal data. 


We undertake that we will not use or reveal any of your child’s/ward’s personal contact information or sensitive personal data ( e.g. information as to your child’s/ward’s physical and mental health, political opinions and religious beliefs) in our Marketing Materials.

>> Right of Access, Correction and to Withdraw Consent

You have the right to:

1. Request access and correction of your child’s/ward’s personal data; 

2. Withdraw your consent to our further and continued use; and 

3. Contact us with any queries regarding the use of your child’s/ward’s personal data by e-mailing to summer@kinghenryviii.edu.my 

Please take note that any withdrawal of consent is subject to you giving reasonable notice to us in order for us to take necessary action to cease the further and continued use of your child’s/ward’s personal data in our Marketing Materia2.
